Buddy and Roger (Still) Need a Home

We originally ran this story in February and had hoped that no news was good news, but we found out today that these boys still need a home – and quickly! They originally had a worst-case scenario backup, which has now fallen through. If you can help out a military family and give a sweet boy or two a home, please read the story and contact Sonya at the information provided below.

These two sweethearts need a new home. Although it doesn’t have to be together, they have spent so many years of their lives together that it would be wonderful if they could stay together. Their family, who just adores them, has to move with the military and are not allowed to take them. They are heartbroken, as you can imagine. We are still at capacity and unable to take anyone, so please cross-post and let’s see if we can find these boys a place to go.

Buddy

• Buddy – ACA Jack Russel Born 3/20/2005 – White with small spot of red on right ear
• Shots are current
• Neutered male
• Potty trained
• Travels well
• Born in Washington
• Negative heart worm
• No fleas or ticks

The family will provide a kennel, bedding and a $50 card to Petsmart for supplies.

Buddy is a very friendly and outgoing dog. He enjoys being around people, especially children, and other dogs. He loves to play fetch with his ball and, if asked to spin while offering a cookie, will do a twirl on his back legs. He loves the water and enjoys swimming. He has a low energy level for his breed, but maintains a playful personality. He loves to cuddle and be petted. He had one surgery for ingesting a piece of a toy but has not had further issues with eating objects. He has no issues with barking excessively or going to the vet. He does not have problems around children or infants. He is the perfect family dog.

Roger (aka Baby Roger)

• UKC Rat Terrier Born 04/24/2006 – red and white
• Shots are current
• Neutered male
• Potty trained
• Travels well
• Born in Washington

• No fleas or ticks

Roger is a very silly dog. He loves to cuddle and will curl up next to you or on your lap if you let him. He loves to play snatch the ball from his brother, Buddy, but when he wins at that game, he really doesn’t know what else to do with the ball. He has a mild temperament and low energy level for his breed. He is very protective and a great guard dog. He only barks when someone is at the door or window. He is a personable dog after a proper introduction is made. He loves to play and be petted, but prefers adults over children. He does not like to swim, but enjoys a good bath. He is a spirited dog and very loyal. He has never had any health issues. He does have a bit of anxiety when it comes to storms, so he stays in his kennel in the house when we are expecting bad weather. No problems with visiting the vet. He is a wonderful and loving dog.
