It’s so hard to say goodbye … and we have had to so much these past few weeks …
Roxy left us for the Rainbow Bridge last night. We could paraphrase, but we think it comes best from her foster parents who have spent the last few weeks with her …
“It’s with great sadness that I wanted to let everyone know that Roxy passed away very peacefully in her sleep overnight. She was weaker yesterday and spent lots of time close to us. She did have chicken dinner and drank heartily before bed. She slept in her favorite bed in our bedroom and drifted away. Lady and she’d become pals. Lady was by her side even after she passed away. We miss her and are sad but are also very happy we were able to add quality time to this last month of her life…Godspeed Roxy to a better place and easy breathing. You are missed and loved by so many.”
Thank you to everyone who did everything they could to make her last months of life so wonderful. The heartbreak is getting overwhelming, but it’s what we do … and must do … Thank you to everyone for being there for us.
