It’s a double-whammy of goodness today, folks! First, we announced this morning that our special girl, Lily Belle, has finally discovered what it’s like to trust and love and live in a home … and will stay there. Now we can share that Mama Mia, who was dumped at the kill shelter in May while she was pregnant with several beautiful Blue Heeler babies (who have all gone to fabulous homes, thanks to Doggie Harmony), now has an awesome home to call her own … and is one spoiled baby to boot!
We knew there was something very special about this beautiful, bigger-than-usual scruffy girl when we first saw her … and so did her new parents, Jenna and Walter. Jenna has been following our Instagram account for some time and was instantly drawn to Mia. She had recently lost her scruffy JRT and needed some time to heal. She thought, if Mia was still available when she was ready to adopt, then it was meant to be … and what to you know — she was!
We knew Jenna is kind of special, too, though. She works with her local shelter, is incredibly Terrier-savvy, and drove all the way from Virginia just to meet Mia to see if it was a good fit. It inevitably (and fatefully) was!
Like all trials, we gave them a couple of weeks to feel one another out, but we could tell from the adoption day photos that it was a match made in doggie heaven. She is now living in the lap of luxury, rolling around in the grass on her family farm and staking claim to her spot on the couch. She is also now known as Georgia … What can we say, that always makes us smile? Georgia … on our minds.
