Maggie
Our two boys have been asking for a dog for years. After showing us they were old enough and responsible enough to help care for a dog, we promised them we would get a dog the summer of 2015. We discussed what kind of dog would be a good fit for our active family and prepared the boys that it could take some time to find just the right dog, as it is an important decision and a big commitment to care for a pet.
As luck would have it, I happened upon Georgia Jack Russell Rescue at Whole Foods in Buckhead and met Maggie. I immediately fell in love with her. I couldn’t believe a Jack Russell mix could be so calm and mellow – apparently someone hit upon the perfect mix of breeds with Jack Russell and Basenji!
She is such a love! She is sweet and the most perfect addition to our family. Our sons have done an amazing job helping to care for her and fight every night about whose bed Maggie will sleep in. Needless to say, Maggie is quite pleased with all of this love and affection.
She is an amazing dog, and we are thankful every day for Georgia Jack Russell Rescue and our good fortune of meeting Maggie. We enjoy every day with her and look forward to all of the years we will have together.
