Saturday’s Friends & Family Jack Russell Reunion at the ranch was an absolute hoot! It was great to see so many of our “adopted” and foster parents, volunteers and/or sponsors/supporters come together for an evening of food, fellowship and, of course, adorable dogs wearing adorable costumes!
Debbie, Mama Donna, and members of Team Russell really went above and beyond to provide an evening of fun for everyone. Several people drove in from out of town—and out of state!—and really “made our day.” All of the former rescues look so fabulous!
We have some silent auction items for some of the folks who left before it closed. We will be in touch with you on how to get those to you. Also, if we forgot to give you a swag bag on exit, please let us know. Things got kind of crazy towards the end. 🙂
Thank you so much for the donations (for the dogs and for the food bank) and bringing such incredibly-yummy food. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

Former GA JRT rescue Bailey took a break from his world-class lifestyle to make an appearance with Abby, the volunteer responsible for matching him with his dad, Billy. He has definitely gone "from the outhouse to the penthouse."
Belle may not be one of our rescues, but she is definitely part of our family (and Hannah's foster sister at one time). Her parents, Bonnie and Pam, have been so instrumental in the rescue this past year and her antics at the reunion ("This MY monkey!") won ALL of our hearts over.
Our little hearts lit up when we saw Boo (former GA JRT rescue Damon) and his 'Oo Crew show up after a long and challenging drive! He looks fantastic, and we cannot thank Beth and Corey enough for bringing him back to see us one more time again before he moves up north. Just wait 'til you see their cute costumes!
There were so many great "reunions" yesterday, but this was one of our favorites! Three years ago, Little Too survived the tragic fire at Flashpoint Kennels in Rome. She was transported to Florida and has been living an incredible life with Gloria in Venice. It was so wonderful to see both of them last night! She looks positively beautiful.
Brigit ... breaking the leash laws, as usual ... She only gets a pass because she's the reason her parents found Georgia Jack Russell and created the social media pages and the website ...and found so many awesome people ... and adopted three more siblings for her. All behold the Great Pumpkin.

We were thrilled to have former GA JRT rescue Octavia (now living the life in Florida with Jeff and Cathy) not only join us for the reunion but for the week before as well. Her parents were on vacation in the mountains, so she spent the week at the ranch! We love it when they come back to board with us. She is such a little gem ... and definitely still speaks her mind to the younger dogs.
Penny arrived a couple of years ago with Hercules (who is now living the life in California with his daddy, Diego) and quickly became one of our favorite honorary "black Terriers." She is an absolute joy, and we are thrilled that her mom is our kennel caretaker Shirley. That means we get to see her at all of our special events!

Pumpkin doing what Pumpkin does best! It's hard to believe this little girl was knocking on death's door a few years ago. Thanks to the Jennifer, she is now an absolute rock star and one of the greatest success stories ever to come out of rescue.
After the photo shoots were over, former GA JRT rescue Pumpkin (applicably) decided to take a seat next to the pumpkin. Her sister Susie (also a former rescue) was ready for a nap. So much going on ...
The pumpkins are back ... and this year they're artificial for recyclable fun!
Ava is Duke's foster mom and a wonderful member of Team Russell who adopted Murray (not seen here) years before many of us even knew about the rescue. Here she is with her baby Sophie, on the way to accept their raffle auction item.
Marc (foster dad of Duke, who was resting at home after his heartworm treatments) won the infamous Screaming Monkey for his girl Sophie in our raffles. Pst, watch your back, Marc! Belle is zoning in on it!
