Our 2nd Annual Friends & Family Jack Russell Reunion at the ranch was wonderful! It was great to see so many of our “adopted” and foster parents, volunteers, sponsors and supporters come together for an evening of food, fellowship and, of course, adorable dogs wearing adorable costumes! Congratulations to our three-way tie winners — Annie, Belle and Cooper!
Debbie, Mama Donna, and members of Team Russell really went above and beyond to provide an evening of fun for everyone. Several people drove in from out of town—and out of state!—and really “made our day.” All of the former rescues look so fabulous! Thank you for giving them such wonderful homes.
And, even though this event was to thank you for all you do and not ask for more … Thank you so much for the donations and for participating in the raffles and silent auction. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.

Remember Buddy? We were thinking of sending him to our friends up north (since he's not technically a Jack), but his awesome foster mom (our "keeper" Shirley) decided she just can't let him go after all of these months. He's ... ADOPTED!
Barkley, too, has been a bit under the radar in foster care with his awesome mom. But guess what? He, TOO, is officially adopted and is now known as Jake! We had hoped he could see his daughter, Pinky, again tonight, but they missed one another by 15 minutes.
Happy Andi was back and looking quite dapper. Her mom, Abby, has been an awesome foster to several dogs before "failing" (whatevs) over this adorable girl.
You never saw Ricky because he spent his first days in the senior center, then went into foster care with Isabella's "wonder" mom Donna. Now he's adopted and looking QUITE fantastic! Trust us, he did NOT look like this when he arrived.

Annie made the journey back to rescue from Florida with her parents, Jeff and Cathy. Her sister, the late Octavia, was deifnitely missed this year, but this little bumblebee looks absolutely fabulous.

It was wonderful to see Willow again with her parents, Mike and YeSun. We miss this little girl, who spent more time in the house and on the porch than in the kennels before she was adopted in 2013.

It was beyond-awesome to see Mr. Wiggles and his mom, Sue. They made the trip with grandma from South Carolina to join us. We don't want to jinx anything, but ... he may have a sibling soon!
Penny's eyes have always been penetrating ... and still are after three years of the forever life with mom Shirley, who is our most-awesome caretaker during the week. Shirley is also sporting our limited-edition T-shirts. They were a hit, so ... stay tuned for more varieties.
Clark didn't even "make it" to the websites. We were shooting his glamour shots when his parents, David and Charlotte, rolled up to volunteer for the day. He saw them, literally lept into their arms ... and it was all over. Talk about choosing your family ...

Her parents came to volunteer, saw her and ... history! Can you blame them?! She missed seeing her daddy, Barkley (now Jake), by just minutes.
