What can we say? Saturday’s Spring Vol Day was nothing short of perfect! The weather was beyond beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the teamwork was beyond amazing.
Team Russell was out in full force to welcome several new volunteers, who showed up early, stayed late and did not hesitate for a moment to dig in and get dirty doing what had to be done. The kennels were all unwrapped for spring/summer in record time, all of the water bowls and beds were washed, the tarps were replaced, and bricks were laid down. We even had time for all of the dogs to get some field, walk and/or cuddle time, which they absolutely loved.
Thank you to everyone for coming out and busting butt, whether it was for a few hours or the entire day. Whether you did “hard labor,” loved on dogs, or cooked food, everything you did made a huge difference in the lives of the dogs … and Mama Donna.
