We came, we saw, we sweated, but … we got stuff done.
Everyone was ready to get down ’n dirty and do what needed to be done for the dogs today at Summer Vol Day on Saturday. We sure missed our men of rescue to get the tarps fixed and the grass mowed, but we “women folk” focused on plenty of other important stuff, like walking the dogs, refreshing the outdoor kennels, cleaning the indoor kennels (after Mia’s puppies went on a rock star tour in there the last couple of months) and finally breaking in the awesome Booster Bath our beloved TN sponsor/vol Anne Ross bought us.
Thanks, as always, to our core Team Russell group for doing what you do. You are amazing. Welcome and thanks to April Hayes and her mom, Patty, for joining us, as well as super-smart and savvy 12-year-old Lauren Katz and her sister and mom, whom we met last weekend at Dog City Bakery. Special thanks to Charlotte Knox for the sandwiches (yum!) and Kim Shields for making the last-minute vet run for our special boy, Hunter.
Other great stuff was happening offsite, but we have to wait for official words to share. 🙂
As always, everyone brought something very special to the table … and a little joy to the dogs’ lives for a day.
