Taking Stock of WoofStock 2012
Thanks to everyone for another awesome Woofstock! There was a great turnout at Suwanee Town Center Park yesterday. We saw some old friends, met some new ones and, and, of course, we enjoyed seeing lots of great Jacks. We didn’t bring any of the babies with us because we thought it was going to be a little hotter than it was. Sorry to disappoint those who stopped by, but you know you can always come out and meet, visit, play with and, of course, potentially foster/adopt them. Just give us a call at 770-918-8582.
Raffle Winners Picked
After several weeks of selling tickets, we pulled not one, not two, but three winning raffle tickets for the Smoky Mountain Cabin Getaway. We had such a great success with this fundraiser that the generous cabin owners, who also dedicate countless hours of volunteer time for us, offered up two more stays. Woo-hoo! Thank you, Sally and Kim! You are amazing and we (literally) could not have done this without you.
Congratulations to the three winners:
- Heather Schardon of Atlanta
- Chris Armstrong of Atlanta
- Sue Iversen of North Carolina
Thank you to everyone who participated in the raffle. Please know that every dollar you donated will go to help vet, shelter and feed our rescues and help us keep doing what we’re doing.
A Visit from Pumpkin
We loved seeing all the Jacks yesterday, but, of course, the best visit was from our (we will always call her that, even though she’s had a home for almost a year now) little Pumpkin. She and her awesome mom, Jennifer Roose, came to visit us and bring Mama Donna and card for Mother’s Day. Awwww. She let us humiliate her with a little dress-up before drawing some spectators with a few jaunts and hops through her portable agility course. We can’t express how happy we are for this little girl and many more like her who have gone from tragedy to triumph, thanks to your donations and amazing fosters/adopting parents.
We didn’t really get to venture out of the booth much to network or take photos, but here’s a few pics of Pumpkin … and a couple of other adorable visitors.
