It’s Thanksgiving weekend, and we at rescue have so much to be thankful for this year. Like every year before it–and any year in rescue, to be quite honest—it has been both a fulfilling and a challenging one. We’ll start recapping 2015 soon enough, though, in separate blog entries. For now?
We want to take this time to thank you for all of your support. Although we have grown in numbers the past few years, we are still a very small family of friends … and fighters. It’s not always perfect (no nonprofit organization is), but it’s always meaningful.
Each and every volunteer, sponsor, foster and/or supporter brought something to the table that kept our doors open for another year–from boots-on-the-ground, hands-on experience with the dogs every day, week or month, to those in other states or even countries who network our dogs. No matter what you do, big or small, everything makes a difference, and we hope you know that. We are blessed to have such a melting pot of supporters with backgrounds, networks, and experience that just makes it all work.
We wish everyone a wonderful holiday weekend surrounded by family, friends and, of course, dogs! We know we say it a lot, but we honestly could not do this without your help.
As for us this weekend? Most of us will be raising funds, playing with the rescues, and scooping poop. 😉 It’s just what we do.
