Thanks for a Jack’ed Up Fest!
What a wonderful weekend at Candler Park! We took part in the three-day SweetWater 420 Fest for the first time and are so happy we did. We raised some much-needed funds to feed, vet and shelter our 30 rescues and met a lot of wonderful people. We loved all of the phone photos and stories about everyone’s dogs.
We would like to give special thanks to the following:
- Decatur Knitters for the great bandanas. People loved them! There’s going to be some well-dressed pets out there now.
- Jane Cox for donating the rescue stickers. Those went in a heartbeat!
- Soccer Dog Design for donating design of the promotional materials.
- The team at DPS Prints for printing the promotional materials. The banner, posters, T-shirts and collateral looked fantastic!
- Kim and Sally for schlepping around everything, setting up and tearing down, so Donna could get some much-needed rest.
- Several of our sponsors and volunteers for stopping by say hi. You know who you are and it was great to see you! 😉
- And, of course, the wonderful kids who stopped by to give their hard-earned allowances to the cause. You guys are awesome!
We are already looking forward to next year.
What’s next?
We’re now preparing for our next festival, which will be Woofstock on May 12 at Suwanee Town Center in Suwanee, Ga. Star 94 hosts this annual dog-oriented fest and it’s always a hoot. We greatly encourage all of our adoptive parents who live in the area to bring out their babies and say hello. We would love to see how everyone is doing and take some “where they are now” pictures. We’ll also be drawing the winning raffle ticket for our Smoky Mountain Getaway Raffle. More details on everything to come as the date gets closer.
